What I believe

I believe that Obama's personal desire for power and control trump what is ultimately best for this Country and I believe he lacks the judgment and honor to put the needs and desires of this Country First.

I believe it is his intent to align the Country with his goals rather than align his goals with this Country. I believe his record speaks louder than his words.

Follow up:

As you know, I welcome a calm discussion about specific issues but just cannot stomach hatred and blanket intolerance with no rational thought.

Many, many folks are angry about the economy and my business is suffering in a big way right now too. My business deals in products are largely "luxury" in nature and in times like these, Luxury items are the first things to go.. Certainly not as many folks are lining up to get my products as before the economy tanked. Credit, which is paramount in bringing products to big box stores on terms, is hard to come by for even the biggest of corporations and that is killing my orders.

With all this financial stress, you'd think I'd be extremely excited about the "tax cuts" that Obama talks about. But I’m not for two primary things:

1 - Obama promised similar things to his constituents when he ran for the Senate. Promises that he didn't deliver. Couple that with the consensus that a Candidate will say whatever needs to be heard to get elected and you have to judge whether or not he is doing just that. I just don't believe he will do what he says he will do. I don't believe he CAN do what he says he will do. It’s about trust and Obama is simply not being straight with us about how he defines what he says. I have to ask “Why?”.

2 - His economic plan does not make mathematical sense. You cannot cut taxes and increase spending unless you bring in massive volume to make up the difference. Punishing the successful by tearing away success is not going to grow business. It will do the exact opposite and the resulting loss of jobs, tax revenues and spending will be devastating.

Moreover, I do not believe that we can simply spend our way out of these bad economic times.

I don't believe that this Country should inspire people to pursue the American Dream only to be punished and persecuted for achieving it.
I don't believe that people have a RIGHT to own a home and I don't believe the Government has a right to tell businesses whom to lend to, whom to give preference to and whom to treat differently.
I don't believe that it is fair to put a Caucasian out of work to avoid being fined for not hiring a person of ethnicity.
I don't believe that sexual preference, race, color or religion should trump qualifications or experience.
I don't believe that the Government knows better in how I raise my children or take care of my family that I do. Unfortunately, to many people do.
I don't believe that Separation of Church and State means the abolishing of public religious expression.
I don't believe that Public Education should decry and denounce religious teachings, but should be tolerant of them, while not specifically endorsing any.
I don't believe that public sexual education releases Parents from the responsibility of providing it themselves.
I don't believe in Infanticide. I don't believe in using Abortion as Birth Control. I don't believe that raising a child is "punishment" for a poor choice but the responsibility we must face for our actions.
I don't believe that Global Warming is entirely man-made and I don't believe that buying carbon credits will do anything to stop it. I believe that giving business incentives and opportunity in solving Global Warming will result in faster, cheaper and more meaningful solutions to combating green house gasses.
I don't believe one single energy solution will cure what ails us. I do believe that we have come along way in the last 35 years, when the last oil refinery was built in the US.
I don't believe in "dirty energy" as a standard any longer. I do believe in clean coal, synthetic fuels with zero negative environmental impact, air, solar, hydro and nuclear power.
I don't believe that that drilling domestically will destroy our environment. I do believe that dependence on foreign oil is bad for National Security.
I don't believe in dealing from a position of weakness with our enemies, sitting down with our enemies with no precondition... especially when they refuse to sit down with us UNLESS we agree to preconditions.
I don't believe in always turning the other cheek. I believe that we have the responsibility to protect ourselves, our families, our communities and our Country Preemptively if necessary.
I don't believe in a weak Military. I believe a strong military is a strong argument for peace and a broadsword to be used as a very last resort. But when it is unsheathed, get the job done quickly and efficiently and leave the politics out of it. Political indecision kills our troops.
I don't believe that it is the role of the United States to follow, but to lead.

I believe that Obama believes contrary to all these points and I believe he will weaken the strength of our economy, our military, our freedoms, our responsibilities, our families and our future.

I believe it is his intent to align the Country with his goals rather than align his goals with this Country. I believe his record speaks louder than his words.

I believe that Obama's personal desire for power and control trump what is ultimately best for this Country and I believe he lacks the judgment and honor to put the needs and desires of this Country First.

Now you know what I believe.
